HTML Help 2.5 was released on New Years Eve of 2001. At first glance this product seems to be very well put together, by Matthias Jaap, master of HTML editing and Atari. During my first use of this package, I noticed that it was not quite what I expected. This program is not designed to write HTML pages at all, but instead was designed to assist in HTML delivery efforts. It does such things as convert between unix, MSDOS, and Atari newline styles. Change background colors, add html headers and titling, and change a text file into HTML. It also supports importing of many filetypes into HTML including an experimental STGuide feature.
During my usage under a rather standard MagiC 6.1 system, I noticed that the change dialog under the exit menu would not close properly under an Ok or Cancel press, requiring a kill of the program to even get control of your machine back. It may work properly under TOS or N.Aes, but I would think at least some MagiC testing would have been done. This is why I scored the functionality column low.
It appears as though this program was designed to work well in combination with Homepage Penguin, also written by Matthias Jaap.
